April May didn’t mean to go viral for her spoofy interview with a random, gargantuan sculpture. When she calls her friend and collaborator, Andy, at 3am to come film the new art installation in the middle of New York City, he doesn’t think twice before uploading it to their shared channel. But by the time April wakes up, she’s internationally famous for being first on the scene of an inexplicable, international phenomenon – dozens of sculptures, just like April’s interviewee “Carl” have popped up all over the world. What makes it weird is that no one caught footage of the installation, they’re all made of some unknown material, and there’s no telling what they mean or why they’re here.
Join April as she navigates her newfound fame as an international spokesperson, advocating on behalf of the Carls at the expense of her relationships, privacy, and just about everything she knew before meeting Carl. In Hank Green’s debut novel and first in a duology, he explores the messiness of accidental fame, international relations, and the power of trust and hope versus suspicion and fear. This one is a page-turner, and we can’t wait to talk about it!

Come to Create Good Co.’s Book Club on Wednesday, April 17th at 6:00 to talk about Remarkably Bright Creatures. Space is limited, so get your ticket to claim your spot!
